GAGIN v1.0

Items needed:
1 Brew Enable phone(T720 is the only phone tested)
1 USB cable(www.eforcity.com $12 dollars)
1 set of USB drivers for your phone(Please make sure these are installed first and your phone is recognized when its plugged in.)

PRELIMINARY INFORMATION!!! VERY IMPORTANT!!!

This program will ONLY WORK on WinXP, Win2k, WinME* this has not been tested. This program will NOT work on Win98. Start by unplugging all of your USB devices on your computer with the power turned off. Plug them all back in including the USB cable for your T720. If you have a USB port in the back of your computer it is HIGHLY RECOMENDED that you use this!! Turn your computer on and you should be set. You computer should recognize your phone as a USB modem. If you need to go look at your modem settings in the control panel and see what COM you’re on. If it’s higher then 4 you’ll need to move your phone to a lower COM Port, 3 or 4 is PRIMO. If the program still is not recognized seek help on forums like wirelessadvisor.com or howardforums.com

You’ll need WinZIP to unzip the file with all the goodies in it. You can get it at http://www.winzip.com.

Unzip the files by double clicking on the file you downloaded into a folder and follow these instructions.... to get started...

Run the filenamed RunMe.exe shown in the picture: READ THE DISCLAIMER BEFORE PRESSING START!!!! AFTER READING DISCLAIMER PRESS START!!!!

After the patch has been ran you’ll need to run the apploader itself. Double click on BrewApploder.exe! It will ask you which COM port your phone is attached to. It will only recognize COM 1-4, so make sure that your phone is on one of those ports. If one of them doesn't Work, TRY THEM ALL!!!!
Select the port your phone is connected to as shown by the picture below:

Once it’s found your phone it will display the directory structure for your phone. Once it has done this you’re ready to go. You’ll want to make sure that you back up all your content that’s already on the phone incase you want to put it back. To do this you can simple drag and drop your files from the phone into a folder such as my documents. Please refer to the picture below on how to do this:

After you’ve backed up all your content you can start replacing it. You have to make sure that you rename the new file EXACTLY the same as the old one or it won’t work. With ringtones it’s not that big of a deal because you can rename them on the phone. For Example if you have help.mid on your phone you can replace this file with another file such as britney.mid...first you would delete help.mid from your phone after saving it your computer...after deleting help.mid..rename the britney.mid thats on your computer to help.mid...then upload help.mid to your phone...after uploading help.mid to you phone you can go to you phone -> media center -> under my tones -> select help.mid click menu and rename it to britney.mid. This applies to pictures as well except you can't rename pictures on your phone. At this point you may want to Read The Mog7 Method to learn how to get 50+ Rintones on your phone.
.

There you have it, you’re all done. Go to work putting different stuff on you’re phone.

We used this program on the MOTO T720, so all of the graphics that we have are sized at 120 x 160. And all the ringtones are the same format as the Nextel phones.

--=Info on GIFS=--
the size of the gif to fit perfectly on the screen and what works the best is a gif that is:
120 width x 160 height x 64 colors
Animated gifs are accepted... but will not animate as a background only a screen saver. But hey, it’s better then nothing. There are many sites with background graphics for phones on the internet. We suggest you start here because they are already formatted for the T720:

--=Info on Midis=--
The type of MIDI the phones accepts
sp-midi or mode 0 midis(the nextel people have more documentation on creating your own midi)
UNDER 16 KB(I'm pretty sure of this...i welcome you to try it on your own)
All Nextel Midis(Midis that are used for nextel phones WORK)

--=The Mog 7 Method=--
This method will allow you to get more ringtones on the phone...it does cost $3 but it allows you to make additional slots on your phone so you can have more midis. REMEMBER You cannot add new midis to the phone just REPLACE existing ones. This is why the MOG 7 method is important. It expires Dec. 16th. I'm not sure how long you will be able to do this but i really suggest that you do this and let everyone else know about this method before veriz0n catches on.
